Lengthy 2024 Ballot: Ballot Party Anyone?
A real ballot, unfolded on your kitchen table, is actually pretty cool but can be overwhelming. The ballot can be especially challenging with complex propositions or referenda, or more obscure races for judges, and for many jurisdictions these down ballot offices are non-partisan with no specific political party by their name it can be hard to find information on them.
However, ballots some say are the raw material of democracy, so where do I start to get help so I can vote down the entire long ballot?
Your local democratic party has three suggestions to help voters in Legislative District 28 with the complexity of who and what issues are on the ballot.
1. Attend a ballot party. All you have to do is email LD28dems@maricopadems.org and ask someone to contact you with the dates and address that is closest to your home.
2. Bring your ballot to the Legislative District 28 Democratic Party’s Ballot Party on Thursday, October 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the Rio Vista Recreation Center. More Information...
3. Convene your own ballot party, or even do a solo ballot party, please send us a photo: Kitchen table, coffee table, sundeck, the living room floor: wherever you vote, however you vote, is fine by us. Just as long as you vote. Send the pictures to LD28dems@maricopadems.org.
